Customs Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Customs Specialist to join our client’s dynamic Dublin team. This role involves ensuring compliance with customs regulations in a fast-changing logistics setting. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the knowledge and tools for success and long-term growth in the customs and trade field.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit UK and Irish customs declarations complying with Revenue and HMRC standards.
• Coordinate with transport providers, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure seamless shipment operations.
• Calculate customs duties, VAT, and tariffs accurately using appropriate commodity codes.
• Identify and resolve clearance issues proactively to avoid shipment delays.
• Stay updated on legislative updates and contribute to team KPIs and continuous improvement efforts.

Candidate Profile and Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong numerical aptitude and keen attention to detail.
• Experience using Azyra or comparable logistics software is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a proactive team member with excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Previous customs clearance experience (Irish/UK) is beneficial but not mandatory; candidates with the right background and enthusiasm to learn are encouraged to apply.

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
