Role Overview
As a Compliance Ranger within the Local Laws and Parking team, your primary duty will be to investigate and enforce compliance related to local laws and animal management. You will respond initially to breaches of animal management and community laws, carry out investigations according to established policies, and provide courteous support via telephone, on-site visits, and counter reception. This role also involves inspecting properties and communicating with property and animal owners regarding any legal infringements.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to breaches involving animal management and local regulations.
- Conduct investigations into compliance and licensing issues following relevant policies and procedures.
- Deliver customer-focused services through various communication channels including phone and face-to-face engagements.
- Perform property inspections and collaborate with owners to address legislative violations.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced in conducting investigations and making informed decisions grounded in legislation, policy, and evidence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively handle challenging interactions.
- Proficient in safely handling, capturing, and impounding animals, or willing and able to quickly acquire these skills.
- Resilient, adaptable, and cooperative team player.
- Holds a current C class driver's license.
- Possesses a Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent substantial experience.
- Holds a construction card.

This is a permanent full-time position offering a starting salary of $88,195 plus 12.5% superannuation.
