Senior Underwriter - Cyber Insurance

Role Overview

As a Senior Underwriter in Cyber Insurance, you will be responsible for independently analyzing, assessing, and underwriting complex cyber risks. You will develop tailored and innovative insurance solutions to address the dynamic challenges of the cyber market. The role requires confident negotiation with brokers, major clients, and business partners, along with continuously monitoring market trends. You will contribute your expertise to strategically and product-wise advance our cyber portfolio and collaborate closely with sales, IT, claims management, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform independent evaluation and underwriting of complex cyber risks.
• Create customized and innovative insurance products for evolving cyber risk environments.
• Lead contract and pricing negotiations with brokers and large clients confidently.
• Monitor relevant market trends and actively support strategic and product development of the cyber portfolio.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams including sales, IT, and claims, as well as external partners.
• Assist in the development and delivery of underwriting guidelines and share expertise with colleagues.

Candidate Profile

• Several years of experience as a (Senior) Underwriter specializing in cyber insurance.
• Strong insurance technical knowledge combined with analytical skills to assess and optimize IT security measures.
• Decisive, comfortable handling complex risks, and skilled in negotiation techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with aptitude to simplify complex subjects clearly.
• Self-motivated, structured, and solution-driven approach with a commitment to team-oriented portfolio development.
• Completed studies in Law, Economics, Computer Science, or IT Security.
