Role Purpose

The Quantity Surveyor role entails managing and preparing all tasks related to quantity and cost remeasurement, variation claims, budgeting, and forecasting for assigned projects. The position supports Sub-Contract Managers with claims and estimation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Track project expenditures from initiation through completion, providing precise cost forecasts and comprehensive reporting.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to evaluate changes in project scope and adjust budget and cost estimates accordingly.
• Analyze and interpret drawings and material take-offs provided by SBM Offshore or contractors, covering diverse disciplines such as Structural, Piping, Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, and Coating.
• Conduct site inspections to validate quantities and variations for remeasurement and claims.
• Develop detailed cost reports and forecasts that impart clarity and understanding of budget status and deviations.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or comparable fields.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of three years performing quantity surveying within the Oil & Gas sector, demonstrating strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Skilled in cost forecasting, cost management software, reporting tools, and advanced Excel usage.
