Ascentis is a global consultancy specializing in engineering and project management for hospitality and commercial projects throughout South Asia and East Africa. Location
Work will be based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Project and Programme Leadership
- Lead Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for multiple large-scale and high-rise developments.
- Develop and implement project execution plans aligning with client goals, schedules, budgets, quality standards, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) objectives.
- Oversee program management including project controls, governance frameworks, risk management, and reporting systems.
- Adopt digital solutions for project management, including dashboards and data-driven decision-making tools.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and maintain executive-level communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Pre-Construction and Design Oversight
- Lead feasibility assessments, budgeting, value engineering, tender preparation, procurement strategies, and design coordination.
- Provide guidance on project delivery models, contracting methods, and construction techniques.
- Promote modern construction technologies such as BIM and Digital Twin integration, modular and prefabricated construction, precast and steel structures, lean construction methods, AI-enabled monitoring, and common data environments (CDE).
- Ensure multidisciplinary design coherence and compliance at all project phases.
Construction and Delivery Management
- Track construction progress, including quality, safety, productivity, and contractor performance.
- Implement project controls for scheduling, cost monitoring, and reporting using tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, Procore, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Lead issue resolution and escalation processes during execution phases.
- Ensure adherence to contractual, statutory, HSE standards, and operational procedures.
Commercial and Contract Management
- Manage tender processes, contract administration, variation controls, claims, and commercial risk mitigation.
- Apply expertise in FIDIC contracts, dispute prevention, and negotiation tactics.
- Oversee project financials including budgets, forecasting, invoicing, collections, and profitability.
- Drive cost reduction and value engineering initiatives across projects.
Team and Stakeholder Leadership
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams across various locations and functions.
- Promote accountability, performance management, succession planning, and skills development.
- Coordinate with HR for manpower planning, recruitment, and resource allocation.
- Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required; Master's degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- At least 20 years of experience in project management and construction leadership, particularly in high-rise or large-scale real estate developments.
- Demonstrated expertise in pre-construction activities, design management, tendering, budgeting, and project execution.
- Solid experience with modern construction technologies and digital project delivery platforms.
- Hands-on practice with BIM-based project delivery and integrated project controls.
- Proven ability managing large teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Competencies
- Strong command of project management and construction methodologies alongside digital delivery practices.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, BIM software, Power BI, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and ERP project management systems.
- Robust commercial insight, financial oversight, and contract administration skills.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, client relationship building, communication, presentation, and negotiation capabilities.
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving and risk management abilities.
- Capability to independently handle complex projects and senior client engagements in dynamic environments.
