Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary range for this role is $19.23 to $38.46 per hour or $40,000 to $80,000 annually. Commission structures provide additional earnings based on sales performance, including 50% to 150% of one month’s monthly recurring charges, a share of one-time charges, and burst charges. Tenured employees may earn between $19.23 to $48.07 per hour or $40,000 to $100,000 yearly, depending on tenure and performance. Offers within these ranges depend on experience, education, skills, certifications, and business needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in a designated Regional Sales Territory, focusing on Mid Market and non-named National Accounts with 500 to 999 employees.
- Utilize direct calling, emails, and other outreach methods to qualify and generate new business leads by engaging key decision makers.
- Support prospecting efforts by attending building walks, lobby events, establishing property management relationships, and conducting in-person customer meetings.
- Apply consultative and relationship-driven sales techniques to determine current and future connectivity needs.
- Position Cogent’s services effectively to potential and existing customers.
- Meet monthly revenue targets by engaging with occupants of major commercial and retail properties, office parks, and professional locations nationwide.
Qualifications
- Proven recent success in sales with a demonstrated ability to generate new business through thorough prospecting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment under revenue deadlines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM software is advantageous.
- College degree preferred but not mandatory.
Work Environment
This full-time role requires in-office presence five days a week to maximize training, mentorship, and coaching opportunities. Applications submitted indicate acknowledgement of this onsite work expectation.
