Role Overview
Join Datadog as a Mid-Market Account Executive, where you'll play a critical role in driving business expansion by engaging and closing new customers within mid to large organizations. This position demands a strategic and consultative selling approach, collaborating closely with internal teams to assess customer needs and illustrate the value of Datadog's platform. Operating onsite in Dublin, you will be part of a hybrid work culture that fosters creativity and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Concentrate solely on acquiring new client accounts.
- Transform inbound leads into secured deals.
- Utilize sales tools like Sales Navigator and DiscoverOrg for prospecting.
- Target key decision makers including CTOs, Engineering and IT leaders, and technical end-users such as SRE, DevOps, and DevSecOps professionals.
- Navigate complex organizational structures by engaging various departments.
- Work collaboratively with Sales Development Representatives to generate lead flow.
- Oversee the entire sales lifecycle, including negotiations and conducting on-site technical demonstrations.
Candidate Profile
- Proven ability to hunt for and close new clientele.
- Fluency in the German language is mandatory.
- Skilled at strategically mapping and penetrating large companies.
- Motivated, curious, and driven with a passion for sales.
- Persistent and creative in communication, both via phone and email.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, spending up to six hours traveling to client sites by car, train, or plane.
