Role Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the Community Development Council’s Jobs Nearby @ CDC initiative and connected programmes within the district. This role aims to link local residents with job openings and community services through strategic outreach, partnerships, and effective coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer operational support and coordination to Job Ambassadors during daily job clinic activities.
  • Assist in delivering training sessions aimed at enhancing Job Ambassadors' abilities to provide personalized employment assistance.
  • Execute outreach initiatives to boost community awareness and participation in CDC’s job advisory services.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with employers, merchants, SMEs, training organizations, grassroots groups, and community stakeholders.
  • Manage and process case referrals and inquiries received from the public, partner agencies, and Grassroots Advisers, ensuring prompt follow-up and appropriate assistance.
  • Monitor job placement results and support Job Ambassadors in developing job-matching strategies.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from Job Ambassadors and other stakeholders to inform programme improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of residents assisted, job referrals, and placement outcomes for reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with partners to organize district-wide career fairs and upskilling workshops.
  • Participate in Task Forces or Committees and undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience or knowledge in areas such as outreach, career and skills advisory, community engagement, human resources, recruitment, or workforce development.
  • Proficiency in a second language such as Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, or local dialects to effectively communicate with a diverse resident base.
  • Certifications related to coaching or facilitation are considered an advantage.
