Handyman / Maintenance Technician

Overview

City Wide Facility Solutions Vancouver seeks a dependable and skilled Handyman to join their team full-time. This position entails performing diverse maintenance and repair jobs throughout various commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general handyman and light maintenance tasks including minor repairs to doors, hardware, drywall, trim, and fixtures
• Perform basic carpentry work and installations
• Replace ceiling tiles as needed
• Conduct light plumbing repairs, such as fixing faucets, leaks, and fixtures
• Undertake light electrical work like installing fixtures, switches, and outlets within permitted guidelines
• Assemble and install furniture
• Complete service calls, punch-list tasks, and small-scale projects
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine upkeep
• Operate across multiple commercial locations including offices, medical facilities, schools, and industrial sites
• Collaborate with facility managers and internal teams for job coordination
• Respond promptly to urgent or time-sensitive service requests

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in handyman services or general maintenance roles
• Versatile skills across various trades
• Self-sufficient problem-solving abilities to identify and fix issues
• Excellent communication skills coupled with professional client interaction
• Valid driver's license with reliable personal transport
• Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize workload effectively
