Job description

Company Overview

TRIFECTA by The Ride Side represents Asia’s premier integrated destination for surf, snow, and skate experiences, situated centrally in Singapore. The venue uniquely combines mountain and ocean sports under one roof, inviting guests to engage in snowboarding, surfing, and skating activities while cultivating a vibrant community focused on youth culture, creativity, and lifestyle expression.

Role Summary

The position of General Manager – Lifestyle is a full-time hybrid role based in Singapore, blending on-site leadership at TRIFECTA with the flexibility of remote work. This role oversees four distinct business streams under a unified profit and loss statement: an outsourced food and beverage operation, retail sales with disciplined merchandise buying, a fast-growing events segment led by your direct report, and rental partnerships aimed at maximizing venue utilization. Additionally, the role acts as the commercial liaison for brand partnerships at the venue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain full ownership over the Lifestyle portfolio’s consolidated P&L, providing monthly line-by-line financial reporting.
  • Strategically allocate budgets and focus across all four business lines, prioritizing returns rather than historical routines.
  • Manage the outsourced F&B contract, ensuring service excellence, conducting performance evaluations, and handling escalations.
  • Structure and monitor incentive programs for the F&B operator, adjusting targets as necessary to drive growth.
  • Coordinate food and beverage services with event programming and daily operational needs.
  • Oversee retail operations by managing revenues, gross margins, selling-through rates, and inventory turnover, while directing buying and merchandise planning to optimize performance.
  • Enhance foot traffic engagement for retail via strategic visual merchandising alongside brand leadership.
  • Supervise the Events & Venue Sales Manager, managing event revenues, pipelines, pricing approval, and scheduling while protecting core arena income streams.
  • Expand recurring rental income by nurturing existing rental partnerships and identifying new collaborators to better utilize underutilized spaces and times.
  • Lead the commercial relationships for brand partnerships and activations in close cooperation with the Head of Brand, delegating execution to the studio team.
  • Resolve escalated guest issues, collect visitor feedback, and spearhead continuous quality improvements in lifestyle and hospitality standards.

Success Milestones

  • Within 90 days: Fully integrated understanding and command over all business lines; completed review and recommendation of F&B incentives; activation of the events sales pipeline; agreed plan for rental growth, particularly for pickleball activities.
  • Within 12 months: Achieve business unit goals aligned with annual targets; double the current events activity run rate; meet rental income targets; improve retail margins and inventory turnover.

Candidate Requirements

  • More than seven years of leadership experience managing multiple commercial lines in sectors like hospitality, retail-hospitality, lifestyle venues, malls or similar, including P&L accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results via outsourced operators and partner channels rather than exclusively through direct teams.
  • Strong commercial aptitude in B2B settings, covering events management, sales partnerships, or corporate sales leadership roles.
  • Proficient understanding of retail financials such as margins, inventory turns, sell-through rates, and open-to-buy processes.
  • Experience planning and coordinating lifestyle and community-based events and activations.
  • Proven skills in managing and mentoring teams within hospitality, leisure, sports, or lifestyle venues.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills capable of managing various priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work on-site in Singapore with some remote flexibility; willingness to accommodate weekend and evening schedules in alignment with operational and event demands.

Desirable Attributes

  • Existing professional network within Singapore’s brand, agency, or corporate communities.
  • Experience with attractions, integrated resorts, or venues offering immersive guest experiences.
  • Background in designing premium lifestyle experiences.
  • Academic qualifications such as a diploma or degree in hospitality, business, events, or related disciplines; experience in surf, snow, skate, or sports lifestyle sectors advantageous.
