Work Environment and Location

The Jansen Discovery Lodge is a workforce housing facility supporting the BHP Jansen potash mine, situated 155 kilometers east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Employees operate on a schedule of 14 days on followed by 7 days off. During work rotations, accommodations and meals are provided by the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate all kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Prepare basic food items including vegetables and snacks.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, tables, and floors.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of equipment and food quality.
• Ensure your workstation is consistently staffed and well-stocked.
• Adhere to the company's Health, Safety, and Environment Management System policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in camps, kitchens, or restaurant environments is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and under supervision effectively.
• Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Valid Food Safe Certificate is mandatory.

Additional Information

Preference is extended to candidates currently residing in Saskatchewan or those willing to relocate before starting work.
