Work Environment and Location
The Jansen Discovery Lodge is a workforce housing facility supporting the BHP Jansen potash mine, situated 155 kilometers east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Employees operate on a schedule of 14 days on followed by 7 days off. During work rotations, accommodations and meals are provided by the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate all kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Prepare basic food items including vegetables and snacks.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, tables, and floors.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of equipment and food quality.
- Ensure your workstation is consistently staffed and well-stocked.
- Adhere to the company's Health, Safety, and Environment Management System policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in camps, kitchens, or restaurant environments is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and under supervision effectively.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Valid Food Safe Certificate is mandatory.
Additional Information
Preference is extended to candidates currently residing in Saskatchewan or those willing to relocate before starting work.
