Embassy of Wyoming Valley, part of Embassy Healthcare, is inviting applications for the position of Cook within the Dietary Services Department located in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This role offers both full-time and per diem employment opportunities with an emphasis on serving the elderly population in a long-term care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking meals following specific dietary guidelines.
• Deliver excellent customer service to residents in a healthcare setting.
• Follow stringent food safety and sanitation protocols when handling and serving food.
• Support overall kitchen cleanliness and organization.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and dietary team members to ensure smooth meal production and delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in food preparation, preferably within a dietary or long-term care setting.
• Understanding of customer service principles applicable to healthcare residents.
• Certified knowledge in food handling and safety procedures.
• Cooking and meal preparation expertise is advantageous.
• Sanitation and kitchen maintenance experience required.
