Job description
About The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team in Western Australia, supporting the smooth and lively operation of our venues. The role includes a salary range of $79,500 to $82,500 plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities
- Building strong relationships with regular customers to create a welcoming and familiar atmosphere.
- Assisting the Publican in ensuring the venue runs efficiently, safely, and maintains an enjoyable environment.
- Developing management skills and stepping into a leadership role within a team of hospitality professionals.
- Anticipating and managing issues proactively to prevent complications.
- Delivering consistent positive energy, exceptional service, and a friendly attitude during every shift.
Role Requirements
- This is a hands-on position that involves manual handling tasks such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries; candidates must be capable of performing these safely and effectively.
- Previous experience working in bars, bistros, or gaming rooms, along with some supervisory experience, is preferred.
- Demonstrated learning and growth from previous managers, with readiness to take on increased responsibility.
- Proven confidence, pride in work, and strong interpersonal skills to represent the venue in the Publican’s absence.
- Holders of a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate and Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG/RCG) certification as required by the state.
