Job Overview
Support the Housekeeping Manager by overseeing daily departmental activities to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service quality in guest rooms and public spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with supervising housekeeping operations and workflow management.
- Oversee cleanliness and preparation of guest rooms and public areas to meet quality benchmarks.
- Manage housekeeping supervisors and team members by assigning daily duties.
- Coordinate with the Front Office to ensure timely room readiness and handover.
- Perform routine inspections to uphold cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Monitor and optimize inventory of cleaning supplies and materials.
- Train new hires and mentor staff to enhance performance continuously.
- Ensure adherence to hotel policies, health, and safety regulations among the team.
- Compile daily and weekly performance and productivity reports for the department.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Front Office, and Laundry departments to facilitate seamless operations.
- Address guest complaints concerning cleanliness promptly and courteously.
- Assume the Housekeeping Manager’s responsibilities during their absence to maintain operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory or assistant managerial capacity.
- Practical experience in hotel or serviced apartment housekeeping operations.
- Strong understanding of cleaning standards and service quality within hospitality.
- Capability to lead, motivate, and effectively schedule housekeeping staff.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficient with hotel management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Fluent Arabic communication skills; English language proficiency is advantageous.
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills for interactions with guests and colleagues.
