Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer to support the head athletic trainer within a NCAA Division I collegiate athletic training program based in Cookeville, Tennessee. This role involves supervising treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, assisting in physical examinations, and overseeing graduate students while providing athletic trainer coverage at practices, contests, and travel events related to Men's Basketball and Men's Golf teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in managing athletic injury treatment and rehabilitation processes.
- Support physical examinations of athletes.
- Supervise graduate students involved in athletic training.
- Provide coverage for athletic practices and competitions, including traveling with teams.
- Participate in administrative tasks as assigned.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- At least one year of experience in athletic training.
- National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (national certification) is required.
- Possession of Tennessee Athletic Trainers state license or eligibility to obtain it.
- Experience working with intercollegiate student-athletes is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
