Role Overview
Joining LIC's Operations & Service Group, you'll play a crucial role providing essential administrative assistance to teams supporting New Zealand dairy farmers. Reporting to the Semen Collection Centre and Records Manager, your work will ensure smooth farm operations, maintain compliance, and foster operational excellence. Collaborating closely with farming, laboratory, and field colleagues, you will aid in delivering world-class genetics and services nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing administration to facilitate daily farm operations
- Provide administrative support for contractor engagements and health & safety processes
- Oversee vehicle and fuel records, including monitoring and administration
- Carry out general administrative duties to support farm activities
- Coordinate various administrative tasks as necessary
- Maintain and report on bull farm data accurately
Skills and Experience Required
- Proficient computer literacy and strong skills in Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience providing administrative support, preferably with purchasing administration background
- Ability to keep precise records and effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment; meticulous attention to detail is essential
- Familiarity with farming or rural operational contexts is advantageous
- Self-motivated with confidence to work independently while contributing to a broader team
- Effective team collaboration skills within a diverse workforce
- Experience with SAP software is a plus
- Must hold a full New Zealand driver’s license
