Job Overview

This role entails working remotely on a full-time contract basis to develop and maintain scalable, modern web applications for a client in the mining industry. Engagement is through freelance setups such as Limited Company, Umbrella, or Sole Trader.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and sustain responsive web applications leveraging current front-end and back-end technologies.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions focused on user experience.
• Enhance web performance, scalability, and security continuously.
• Integrate APIs and external services as necessary to extend functionality.
• Identify and resolve bugs, and improve existing platforms.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code abiding by industry best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience with back-end technologies including Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar.
• Expertise in RESTful API development and integration.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques and web security fundamentals.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience working on digital platforms within the industrial or mining sectors.
• Familiarity with cloud service platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Exposure to content management systems like WordPress or Drupal.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline tools.
