Overview
Lead a dedicated contract sub-team managing a complex multi-billion-dollar EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) agreement. Drive successful delivery while ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget control in a challenging mega LNG capital project environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Establish a Major Projects Contract Center of Expertise and incorporate lessons learned from stakeholders and industry best practices.
- Develop a robust talent pool across Supply, Contract, and Procurement functions aligned with the Major Projects strategic vision.
- Advance digital transformation initiatives within Major Projects to enhance contract and project management efficiency.
- Oversee contract execution activities, deliver value protection plans, manage change orders, and maximize value for shareholders.
- Provide expert guidance on claims prevention, dispute avoidance, and resolution while ensuring compliance with corporate governance.
- Maintain strong collaboration with management, legal, risk, and functional teams to share contract insights, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
- Define and apply post-award contract management strategies and commercial scenarios to optimize onshore project execution.
- Coordinate contract evaluations, close-out procedures, and ensure alignment with company policies.
- Manage communication and contractual alignment with EPC contractors to ensure project-wide consistency.
- Assist senior management with claims assessment, risk analysis, and executive reporting by delivering detailed and actionable contract evaluations.
- Promote continuous improvement through quick wins and medium-term projects in support of the Major Projects digital strategy.
- Collaborate on talent recruitment, retention, capability development, and fostering local Qatari workforce growth.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in post-award contract management within multi-billion dollar lump-sum major energy projects.
- Proven leadership in similar roles, with preference given to professionals experienced as Project Managers, Construction Managers, or Project Control Managers.

- Strong commercial insight combined with robust risk management acumen.
- Deep understanding of contract management principles, legal knowledge, contract interpretation, and claims/dispute resolution experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
