About the Role
The Product Test Engineer is responsible for managing and executing the entire testing cycle for projects, including ICT (In-Circuit Test), Flashing, End of Line (EOL), and Functional Circuit Testing (FCT). This role involves designing and developing testing equipment with assistance from suppliers and internal test development teams. Additionally, the engineer should be capable of independently creating Automated Test Equipment (ATEs) when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive product test specifications for new projects.
- Interpret and apply customer-supplied test specifications for automated testing and measurement.
- Possess a strong understanding of circuit schematics.
- Have knowledge of automotive communication protocols.
- Be proficient with advanced microcontrollers as well as analog and digital I/O signals.
- Design in-house Automated Test Equipment, including FCT, flashing, and End of Line testers.
- Develop in-circuit test fixtures and flying probe programming.
- Collaborate with test development engineers to provide input on the design and development of test fixtures, tools, and jigs.
- Prepare test sequences to streamline and accelerate test development.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, and work instructions for various production processes.
- Conduct circuit analysis, debugging, and bench setups.
- Operate and utilize measurement and sourcing instruments.
Qualifications & Experience
A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline is required.
