Overview
Insight Global is seeking a Supply Chain Intelligence and AI Analyst for a one-year contract position available remotely across Canada, ideally during Eastern Standard Time working hours. This position bridges supply chain operations, supplier collaboration, data analysis, and AI-enhanced automation. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with internal teams and suppliers to maintain precise, comprehensive, and practical supply chain data regarding lead times, capacity, manufacturing preparedness, and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires proactive engagement with suppliers through calls and emails to gather missing data, monitor deadlines, address data deficiencies, and keep reporting current. Utilizing AI technologies, the analyst will automate data retrieval, generate actionable insights, create dashboards and reports, and help resolve operational challenges. Collaboration with Global Supply Managers to interpret business objectives, translate intricate data into meaningful recommendations, enhance data accuracy, and increase transparency across supplier operations is essential.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, operations, planning, supplier management, manufacturing, or a related sector
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain metrics such as lead times, capacity planning, readiness for manufacturing, supplier performance, and on-time delivery
- Proven track record working directly with suppliers to collect, verify, and manage operational data
- Experience enforcing supplier responsibility through follow-ups, managing deadlines, and escalating issues when necessary
- Ability to independently identify data gaps, troubleshoot, and resolve business problems
- Hands-on experience in employing AI tools for data analysis, workflow automation, and insights generation
- Proficiency in developing automated reporting processes, recurring data extraction, dashboards, or business intelligence outputs driven by AI
- Skill in converting business challenges into actionable insights and effective reporting
- Strong analytical skills capable of examining extensive data to detect trends, risks, and opportunities
- Competence in Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Slides
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Capability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and problem-solving resourcefulness, including learning new tools to use AI effectively
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience supporting supply chains in infrastructure, hardware, manufacturing, or data centers
- Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, connectivity, power, or cooling supply chain sectors
- Knowledge of supplier performance scorecards and readiness programs
- Background with business intelligence, reporting, or visualization platforms
- Proven record of implementing AI-driven enhancements within supply chain or operations
- Understanding of large-scale technology or engineering environments
- Experience crafting executive-level presentations and delivering supply chain insights to leadership
