Signage Fabrication and Installation Technician

Job Location and Type

This full-time role is based in Doha, Qatar, requiring on-site presence.

Experience and Language Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years of relevant experience, ideally including work in the GCC region. Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and basic communication is necessary.

Main Duties

• Construct, assemble, and mount various types of signage for indoor and outdoor use.
• Interpret technical blueprints, production schematics, and installation instructions to ensure precision.
• Use standard industry tools to measure, cut, assemble, and finish signage parts.
• Prepare surfaces adequately for vinyl application, guaranteeing alignment and finish quality.
• Apply self-adhesive vinyl graphics to substrates such as acrylic, glass, metal, composite panels, and vehicles.
• Mount, laminate, trim, and finish printed graphics according to production standards.
• Install illuminated signage, three-dimensional channel letters, lightboxes, directional signs, and branding displays.
• Carry out ACP (aluminum composite panel) cladding installation and associated finishing tasks as needed.
• Perform installations safely at client locations in line with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure completed work meets project specifications.
• Collaborate with production and installation teams to deliver projects on schedule.
• Maintain tools and equipment while keeping the work area clean and organized.

Skills and Qualifications

• Four to five years specializing in signage fabrication and installation.
• Experience with signage projects in commercial, retail, or advertising sectors.
• Expertise in vinyl application, graphic finishing, and assembling signage components.
• Proven ability to install illuminated signs, channel letters, lightboxes, and ACP cladding.
• Skilled in reading technical drawings and installation plans.
• Familiarity with fabrication tools and installation procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Basic proficiency in English communication.
• GCC experience is preferred but not required.
