Overview
Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking a Recruiter to manage all phases of full-cycle recruitment for non-academic positions. The role focuses on identifying the most qualified, interested, and cost-effective candidates while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and cultivating candidate pools for present and future job openings.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective and budget-conscious recruitment strategies to source and hire employees across various non-academic levels, including making salary recommendations based on experience and internal equity.
- Consult closely with hiring managers on new job postings, discussing recruitment tactics, drafting advertisements, recommending advertising channels, and establishing shared search plans.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to craft clear and precise job descriptions, identifying essential skills and qualifications for optimal candidate assessment.
- Coordinate and take part in panel interviews involving candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the recruitment journey.
- Meet with internal candidates seeking transfers or promotions to evaluate their qualifications for open roles.
- Ensure compliance of all applicants with institutional and governmental hiring regulations.
- Maintain active engagement with external agencies and attend career fairs and consortiums to continuously build a strong talent pipeline.
- Verify educational backgrounds and employment references of applicants.
- Assist in preparing statistical reports for routine or special departmental needs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Approximately two years of experience in recruitment and interviewing, with a proven track record of sourcing qualified candidates through diverse channels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at engaging multiple stakeholders and demonstrating strong people skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and database software.
- Strong organizational and meticulous attention to detail.
- Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- Capacity to maintain focus despite interruptions and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Professional demeanor, including appearance and conduct.
- Proven capability to collaborate effectively with departmental and institutional colleagues.
Additional Information
Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
Exemption Status: Exempt.
Salary Range: $79,900 - $90,300 per year (applicable for NYC offices per local Human Rights Law).
