Job description

Overview

Keoghs is recruiting a Claims Handler (CH3) to join their team in Leeds. The individual will be responsible for efficiently managing a portfolio of Public and Employers Liability claims, each with reserve values up to A330,000. The role encompasses handling claims from initial reporting through to settlement prior to litigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of Public and Employers Liability claims up to A330,000 reserve limit and see matters through to resolution.
  • Maintain precise and current information within the designated case management software.
  • Ensure compliance with client service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to client-related projects when required.
  • Complete additional assignments delegated by team leadership.
  • Maintain high standards of service quality and productivity.
  • Report progress and issues to the Team Leader and Claims Unit Service Manager.
  • Distribute new claims as needed within the unit.
  • Perform supervisory functions as assigned in line with management guidance.

Experience and Qualifications

  • At least two years of practical experience in claims handling.
  • Proven experience managing quantum claims up to £25,000.
  • Proficiency in assessing, negotiating, and finalizing Public and Employers Liability claims.
  • Adaptable and flexible attitude towards workload and tasks.
  • Previous supervisory responsibilities are advantageous but not mandatory.
