Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Motor Assessors to join our Motor Assessing team within the Perth metropolitan region, with options to work remotely from home. This position utilizes your expertise in vehicle industry assessments alongside your customer service skills to mediate between RAC, members, and repairers, ensuring equitable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate damage on motor vehicles and caravans, estimating repair costs accurately.
- Suggest cost-efficient claim resolutions aligned with policy terms, manufacturers' repair guidelines, and quality standards.
- Deliver consistent, efficient repair management focused on service and cost benchmarks.
- Inspect and identify vehicle damages to prepare comprehensive reports covering accident damage and overall condition.
- Review and advise on assessment reports to confirm claims evaluation and settlement decisions.
- Operate in compliance with the Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry Code of Conduct.
- Provide outstanding customer service to RAC members and stakeholders.
- Resolve objections, handle disputes, and manage complaints at the initial contact point.
Candidate Profile
- Hold relevant trade qualifications in Panel Beating, Spray Painting, or Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
- Practical experience as a Panel Beater, Spray Painter, or Automotive Mechanic.
- Effective communication and strong customer service aptitude.
- Well-developed problem-solving abilities.
- Display flexibility and a positive attitude in a professional setting.
- Possess a current and unrestricted driver’s license.
- Experience with quoting or estimating in the smash repair sector is advantageous.
- Dedication to prioritising members in all actions.
