Role Overview
The Marketing Strategy Lead for Bayer’s Cardiorenal pharmaceutical portfolio in Australia and New Zealand will play a pivotal role in steering business strategy and enhancing brand performance to benefit patients, healthcare providers, and the broader healthcare system. This position offers a chance to merge commercial excellence, innovation, and customer engagement by designing and executing powerful marketing strategies that stimulate growth and create added value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with business goals and customer needs.
- Drive brand management including product launches, lifecycle strategies, and portfolio expansion.
- Leverage patient and customer insights to shape effective marketing initiatives.
- Identify market opportunities and foster innovative omni-channel engagement strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance commercial results and customer satisfaction.
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns from conceptualization to evaluation, ensuring content creation and performance analysis.
- Manage and optimize customer engagement efforts to increase market share and growth.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and product performance to generate actionable insights.
- Develop forecasts, manage budgets and promotional spending to support sustainable growth.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with local, regional, and global teams, championing agile practices.
- Contribute to the overall commercial strategy while embodying Bayer’s leadership values.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 5 years in pharmaceutical sales and/or marketing with proven success.
- Experience crafting and executing customer-focused marketing approaches in pharmaceuticals.
- Strong commercial mindset including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Sound understanding of omnichannel marketing and digital engagement techniques.
- Capacity to influence across complex organizational structures without direct authority.
- A commitment to innovation and leveraging AI to boost productivity and marketing effectiveness.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical commercialisation, market access, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to translate strategic plans into actionable and pragmatic tactics.
- Effective project management and prioritization skills, including product lifecycle exposure.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
