As an Industrial & Commercial Electrician, your duties will encompass a broad range of tasks across various industrial and commercial sites. Your work will include breakdown responses, preventative maintenance, large-scale installations, factory upgrades, and automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing electrical installations in industrial and commercial settings.
• Conducting preventative maintenance and servicing electrical systems.
• Troubleshooting and responding swiftly to electrical faults and breakdowns.
• Executing factory upgrades and electrical fit-outs.
• Handling motor control systems, switchboards, and industrial equipment.
• Commissioning, testing, and verifying electrical installations for safety and functionality.
• Interpreting electrical drawings and preparing comprehensive job documentation.
• Collaborating with experienced PLC and automation experts, with potential opportunities to enhance programming skills.
• Mentoring apprentices and fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold a current New Zealand Electrical Registration and Practising Licence.
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical work.
• Proficiency in fault-finding and diagnostic techniques.
• Familiarity with motor control systems and industrial machinery.
• Experience with PLC or automation is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Possession of a valid New Zealand Driver Licence.
