Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Health and Social Care Assessor to join our team supporting learners pursuing apprenticeship qualifications within health and social care sectors. This position primarily serves Chester and nearby areas, offering a hybrid working arrangement that combines remote activities with site visits.

Key Duties

  • Facilitate and guide learners through their apprenticeship programmes, helping them gain necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors to complete their qualifications successfully.
  • Maintain strong communication with both learners and employers through regular reviews and engagement.
  • Deliver effective coaching, teaching, and assessment sessions consistent with apprenticeship standards.
  • Observe learners in workplace settings to evaluate practical competencies.
  • Evaluate and provide prompt, constructive feedback on learner assignments.
  • Assist learners who require support in Functional Skills such as Maths and English.
  • Prepare apprentices for End Point Assessment (EPA) to ensure successful certification.
  • Track learner progress and ensure completion within programme timelines.
  • Promote a safe and supportive learning environment, emphasizing safeguarding and wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Possess a Level 3 or higher qualification in Health & Social Care.
  • Have at least two years of recent experience working in Adult Health & Social Care at a senior carer level or above, including roles such as Senior Carer, Care Coordinator, Team Leader, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, Care Manager, or current Health & Social Care Assessor.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence and be willing to travel for workplace visits.

  • Annual salary ranging from £27,000 to £30,000 plus bonus and travel expenses reimbursed.
