About the Role
ALWEDAD Charity seeks a Government Support Specialist to identify public funding opportunities, prepare submission files, follow up on applications, and coordinate the full lifecycle of government-related support initiatives in the nonprofit sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously scan government portals, platforms, and related funding programs to identify new opportunities relevant to the nonprofit sector.
- Assess each opportunity against the charity’s goals, programs, and eligibility conditions, then prioritize the most suitable options.
- Prepare recommendation updates and submit them to the direct supervisor for decision-making.
- Compile application packages and gather all required documents according to each platform’s submission format.
- Ensure the organization’s legal and regulatory documents remain complete, valid, and up to date, including licenses, registrations, accreditations, and reports.
- Review applications before submission to confirm compliance with requirements and eliminate any missing items.
- Track submitted applications through the platform until a final decision is issued.
- Handle official correspondence with government entities and respond to questions or comments within the required timelines and regulatory framework.
- Monitor approval stages through to closure and successful funding, while documenting outcomes.
- Follow up on approved initiatives and ensure deadlines and implementation requirements are met.
- Prepare periodic and final reports required by grantors and supporting entities.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to meet contractual and regulatory obligations tied to the support received.
- Build a database covering platforms, application paths, requirements, deadlines, and contact points.
- Document application procedures and lessons learned to support repeatability and improve efficiency.
- Recommend process improvements that reduce turnaround time and increase approval rates.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of government platforms and systems related to the nonprofit sector and how they operate.
- Knowledge of Saudi regulations and controls governing donations and charitable work.
- Ability to draft precise formal reports and institutional correspondence.
- Proficiency with computer tools, data organization, and file management.
- Strong communication, follow-up, organization, attention to detail, punctuality, and the ability to work under pressure.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or an equivalent field.
Experience
At least 3 years of experience in financial resource development or in working with government platforms and entities.
Additional Information
This position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia and is a full-time, on-site role.
