Job Overview
A full-time nanny role is available for care of a 3-month-old child on New York's Upper West Side. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from noon to 8 PM, with some flexibility and occasional need for early starts, late finishes, weekend, or date night coverage. The position ideally begins in late March or early April.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage the child in age-appropriate activities like tummy time, music, and singing
- Feed the child with bottle feedings and maintain sterilization of feeding equipment
- Encourage indoor play, outdoor exploration, and walks
- Accompany child to nearby classes once older
- Perform diaper changes and maintain hygiene
- Manage sleep and eating routines
- Handle child’s laundry
- Support socialization efforts
- Read to the child regularly
- Help introduce solid foods and prepare simple meals when ready
- Restock supplies including diapers, wipes, and diaper bag essentials
- Maintain cleanliness in the child's room and common areas
- Organize activities and playdates
Requirements
- Minimum five years of nanny experience, focused on infants and toddlers
- Eligible to work legally in the United States
- Provide 2-3 strong references relevant to nanny work
- Current certification in Infant CPR or willingness to obtain/renew
Preferred but Not Mandatory
- Knowledge of baby sign language or willingness to learn
- Passion for creating everyday teaching opportunities
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage ranges from $35 to $40 gross on a W-2 basis, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. Benefits include ten vacation days, paid federal holidays, five sick days, and a monthly metro pass. Additional benefits may be negotiable for the ideal candidate.
