About the Role
Provincial Sprinkler Company, part of Johnson Controls and headquartered in Cork, supplies fire sprinkler solutions across the pharma, healthcare, industrial, food, and commercial sectors in Ireland. Because demand for its services continues to rise, the team is hiring a Sprinkler Systems Service Inspector to support new projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this position, you will inspect and service sprinkler systems for a varied customer base spanning commercial, industrial, public sector, and blue-chip environments. The role calls for a strong work ethic, commitment to high-quality service, active support for health and safety, and a focus on exceeding customer expectations.
The company is particularly interested in candidates with background in service/inspection work or facilities management. Living in Cork, Tipperary, Waterford, Limerick, or Kerry is preferred.
Core Duties
- Carry out service and inspection work on fire sprinkler pipework systems in large industrial facilities.
- Service and inspect plant equipment such as fire pumps, valves, and pumphouse piping.
- Encourage and follow health and safety practices at work.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of service to customers.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in service engineering or facilities management.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems and how they function.
- Familiarity with safety requirements across different site types.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
- Comfortable using computers and preparing reports.
Preferred Background
- Experience with sprinkler or water suppression systems, either in installation or service.
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities, Sprinkler Systems, or Fire Suppression equipment.
- Current Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working at Height, and MEWP training would be an advantage.
