About the company
The hiring organization supports a large US retail business with an extensive international sourcing network and a focus on ethical business practices and sustainable growth.
About the role
Based at the regional headquarters in Singapore, this position leads the regional responsible sourcing agenda. The role ensures manufacturing partners meet human-rights expectations, environmental requirements, and applicable labour regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Run the sourcing compliance programme and partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen sourcing standards over time.
- Take part in vendor evaluation and onboarding, ensuring direct sourcing partners follow the Supplier Code of Conduct.
- Coordinate social audit activities with external audit providers and conduct on-site compliance checks when required.
- Assess audit findings for gaps or breaches, raise serious concerns promptly, and work with cross-functional teams to build and confirm corrective action plans.
Experience and language requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a social compliance officer in a large multinational organisation, ideally a major retail business.
- Strong working knowledge of international social compliance standards across Asian markets.
- Ability to read and communicate confidently in Mandarin to work with factory management and vendors in China.
