Job description
Position Overview
We invite qualified candidates to apply for the role of Environmental Health Safety Specialist responsible for overseeing Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental (QHSE) and compliance operations organization-wide. The position entails managing the Integrated Management System (IMS), audit programs, compliance adherence, corrective and preventive actions, training initiatives, incident investigations, and continuous enhancements.
Main Duties and Accountabilities
- Plan and coordinate both internal and external audit schedules while tracking audit findings and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain and organize IMS and audit documentation using SharePoint.
- Keep abreast of regulatory and legal developments to update policies and procedures promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with regional branches regarding QHSE and compliance standards.
- Design, update, and review organizational policies, procedures, forms, and management system documentation.
- Create and deliver training modules on QHSE, compliance, and refresher courses.
- Analyze QHSE metrics, KPIs, and trends to identify areas needing corrective measures.
- Contribute support to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and sustainability programs aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
- Lead or assist in investigations of safety incidents including root cause analysis and prevention strategies.
- Advocate and nurture a robust culture promoting Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across the enterprise.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline.
- At least three years of progressive work experience in QHSE or compliance, ideally within equipment rental or a similar sector.
- Certifications as Internal/Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 mandatory.
- In-depth expertise in QHSE management frameworks, audit processes, risk evaluation, compliance obligations, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Strong analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple QHSE initiatives across departments efficiently.
- Proficiency with QHSE dashboards, KPI tracking, SharePoint, and digital record-keeping systems.
