Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Position Overview

We invite qualified candidates to apply for the role of Environmental Health Safety Specialist responsible for overseeing Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental (QHSE) and compliance operations organization-wide. The position entails managing the Integrated Management System (IMS), audit programs, compliance adherence, corrective and preventive actions, training initiatives, incident investigations, and continuous enhancements.

Main Duties and Accountabilities

• Plan and coordinate both internal and external audit schedules while tracking audit findings and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain and organize IMS and audit documentation using SharePoint.
• Keep abreast of regulatory and legal developments to update policies and procedures promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with regional branches regarding QHSE and compliance standards.
• Design, update, and review organizational policies, procedures, forms, and management system documentation.
• Create and deliver training modules on QHSE, compliance, and refresher courses.
• Analyze QHSE metrics, KPIs, and trends to identify areas needing corrective measures.
• Contribute support to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and sustainability programs aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
• Lead or assist in investigations of safety incidents including root cause analysis and prevention strategies.
• Advocate and nurture a robust culture promoting Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across the enterprise.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline.
• At least three years of progressive work experience in QHSE or compliance, ideally within equipment rental or a similar sector.
• Certifications as Internal/Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 mandatory.
• In-depth expertise in QHSE management frameworks, audit processes, risk evaluation, compliance obligations, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Strong analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple QHSE initiatives across departments efficiently.
• Proficiency with QHSE dashboards, KPI tracking, SharePoint, and digital record-keeping systems.
