Employee Health and Safety Manager

Overview

Pratham Transolutions India is seeking a dedicated Employee Health and Safety Manager to lead the implementation and oversight of comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures across various operational locations including offices, transport yards, and sites. The role is focused on ensuring compliance with statutory safety regulations and fostering a culture of zero accidents through proactive safety management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and supervise HSE-related policies and procedures.
• Perform routine safety inspections and conduct risk assessments at company premises and operational sites.
• Ensure strict adherence to legal safety requirements, fire safety regulations, and other statutory obligations.
• Conduct orientation and safety induction sessions for new employees, drivers, and contractors.
• Organize regular safety talks, awareness campaigns, and monthly training programs on HSE topics.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, establishing corrective and preventive measures.
• Supervise the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and promote safe work practices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE documentation including incident records, permits, and compliance reports.
• Coordinate fire safety drills, emergency response exercises, and ensure readiness for first-aid procedures.
• Act as the liaison with government bodies, auditors, and regulatory agencies during inspections.
• Oversee contractor adherence to safety standards on-site.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety performance reports to management.
• Champion a safety-first mindset and advance a culture striving for zero accidents across the organization.
