Role Overview

The Dishwasher position entails maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchenware, including dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils. This role ensures that the kitchen environment and equipment remain organized, sanitary, and fully operational in compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen items using designated procedures and equipment.
• Polish silverware utilizing burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, and hand cloths as per required processes.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper function of dishwashing equipment and kitchen work areas.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other surfaces used for food preparation.
• Handle waste disposal by removing trash, placing it into designated bins, and steam cleaning or hosing garbage cans.
• Assist in the loading, unloading, and moving of supplies, products, and equipment between storage and kitchen areas.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Must possess a valid Food Handler Certificate or equivalent provincial certification.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in dishwashing is advantageous but not essential.
• Familiarity with operating industrial washing machines is preferred.
• Capacity to work efficiently under pressure.
• Physical capability to perform the responsibilities of the role is required.
