Press Cleaner

Overview

This role requires upholding superior housekeeping standards for all cleaning duties associated with the press line, forming line, and Kontra saw equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning functions including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and waste disposal.
• Eliminate fibre collection and clear oil residues from catch pans and spaces between frames.
• Inspect and ensure sump pumps operate correctly, clearing excess solids from pump holes.
• Monitor hydraulic pack fluid levels, with cleaning and maintenance as necessary.
• Maintain and check vacuum systems and waste oil tank quantities.
• Report maintenance issues such as missing safety guards or unusual sounds promptly.
• Clean press areas inaccessible during operational hours during press downtime.
• Keep tools and cleaning equipment tidy and orderly.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Work rotating 12-hour shifts in a round-the-clock manufacturing environment.

Essential Requirements

• Completion of a high school diploma or a General Educational Development (G.E.D.) certificate is necessary.
