Position Overview
The Director of Operations will provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for the organization's Sales Operations and Inventory/Logistics teams. This role aligns commercial execution and supply chain efforts to support overall business goals, enhancing operational efficiency and improving visibility through effective planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Sales Operations, Inventory, and Logistics teams, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous enhancement.
- Develop and implement sales operation strategies to drive company growth and optimize sales performance.
- Collaborate with sales leaders by delivering data insights, analytics, and strategic advice to support informed decisions.
- Oversee budgets and expenditures for departments, ensuring alignment with financial targets and optimal resource allocation.
- Manage inventory and assets strategically to ensure accuracy, maintain optimal stock levels, and maximize the use of company assets.
- Drive ongoing improvements in inventory and logistics workflows to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
- Maintain strong partnerships with transportation, warehousing, and other vendor providers.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory compliance, and safety standards within operations.
- Serve as project lead for office services including relocations, equipment upgrades, and vendor coordination.
- Negotiate vendor contracts, manage supplier relations, and oversee office service providers to maintain cost-effective support.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects from design through completion, managing scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Champion continuous improvement in sales processes and workflows and provide operational insights to senior leadership.
- Lead special initiatives and optimize CRM and sales technology usage for improved business results.
- Conduct internal inventory audits and oversee compliance documentation related to sales operations and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, Operations, or related discipline.
- At least 7 years of leadership experience managing multifunctional teams.
- Proven experience in sales operations, inventory control, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Track record of successfully leading process improvement and operational excellence projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
- Experience with CRM platforms and business analytics tools.
- Background in regulated healthcare or medical device environments preferred.
- Robust project management skills to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
- Competence in managing vendor contracts and service provider relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- This position operates primarily within an office setting with occasional travel requirements.
- Consistent engagement with teams, healthcare providers, and business partners requiring adaptability and problem resolution.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during computer use or meetings.
- Manual dexterity for operating standard office equipment.
- Good visual acuity to review documents and computer screens.
- Occasional lifting or carrying of materials up to 50 pounds.
