Director of Analytics

This position with a quickly expanding healthcare organization offers a unique leadership opportunity to create and lead an analytics division focused on delivering integrated, value-based services to vulnerable populations. The organization, which has grown from a startup to nearly a billion dollars in annual revenue over the past decade, is now focused on scaling its analytics capabilities.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop analytics strategies and solutions within a key operational area, for example, home health or transportation services.
• Collaborate closely with clinical and business leaders to address complex challenges by leveraging data, statistical modeling, and strategic insights.
• Serve as a strategic advisor translating complex data into actionable business strategies rather than only fulfilling ad hoc data requests.
• Remain actively involved in data analysis processes, balancing managerial duties with hands-on work.
• Integrate and analyze data from various systems, including EMR platforms, transportation logs, and claims data.
• Effectively communicate methodologies, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and executives.
• Track and measure the effectiveness of initiatives, continuously refining approaches based on data outcomes.
• Lead hiring, training, mentoring, and managing an analytics team as the function expands.

Candidate Profile

• 8 to 10+ years of experience in business analytics emphasizing consultative analysis and collaborative problem-solving.
• Proficiency with SQL and experience using analytical or business intelligence tools such as SAS, Tableau, or Power BI; strong SQL skills are essential, but deep engineering background is not required.
• 4 to 5+ years managing analysts through multifaceted analytics projects.
• Minimum 3 years working in the healthcare sector.
• Strong consulting skills with the capacity to convert data insights into business value and influence senior leadership decisions.
• Excellent communication and organizational capabilities across diverse groups including leaders, stakeholders, and end users.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in management consulting at a top-tier firm, complemented by experience in corporate or industry roles.
• Experience with datasets related to home health, home care, or transportation.
• Master’s degree is advantageous.

Compensation

• Base salary range: $180,000 to $190,000.
• Target bonus: 20% of base salary.
• Equity participation available through shared equity program after completing one year of employment.
