Role Overview
As a member of Linktree's Business Analytics group, the Data Analyst serves as a critical connector between product development, growth strategies, and executive leadership. Handling vast datasets from millions of creators and billions of monthly users, this position provides actionable insights that inform product direction, marketing targeting, and growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Marketers, and senior leadership to evaluate opportunities, support new product launches, analyze experiment outcomes, and contribute to shaping essential metrics guiding the roadmap.
- Operate autonomously by managing end-to-end analyses—starting from defining the question with stakeholders, executing SQL queries, constructing data models, creating visualizations, through delivering clear and impactful recommendations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and self-service analytics tools (using platforms like Hex, Amplitude, or equivalents) to help stakeholders monitor and evolve with the business.
- Partner with Analytics Engineering to establish and document standardized definitions for key product and business metrics, ensuring consistent understanding across Linktree.
- Communicate complex analytical findings in a straightforward manner tailored to non-technical audiences, such as product managers, marketing teams, and executives, using written memos, dashboards, and presentations.
- Promote rigorous data hygiene practices including clear metric definitions, reproducible queries, and version-controlled analysis processes.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 2 to 3 years of experience as a data analyst, business analyst, or product analyst within a rapidly evolving B2B or consumer product environment.
- Demonstrate fluency in SQL, with familiarity in joins, window functions, common table expressions, and converting event-level data into stakeholder-friendly summaries. Experience with Python (pandas) or dbt is advantageous.
- Experienced with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, and proficient in BI or visualization tools like Looker, Mode, or Tableau.
- Adept at clarifying ambiguous business questions, scoping analyses, and producing actionable conclusions beyond just data visualizations.
- Exhibit strong communication skills through effective collaboration with non-technical stakeholders.
- Enjoy working in autonomous, dynamic environments and are motivated by having your analyses influence tangible product decisions.
- Ability to work remotely or hybrid from nominated offices located in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sydney, or Melbourne.
