About the Role
As a Business Development Manager at foodpanda Singapore, you will play a crucial role in amplifying our growth by securing new partnerships. This position offers a dynamic, hands-on sales experience with a compensation package that rewards your success through a competitive base salary plus unlimited commission. Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the entire sales cycle: from generating leads to closing contracts, with an emphasis on face-to-face interactions and high-volume partner acquisition each month to expand our market coverage.
- Utilize in-depth local market insights to identify and prioritize high-potential leads and maintain a high-efficiency CRM system ensuring no opportunity is overlooked.
- Operate with a fast-paced transactional sales approach, closing quality deals swiftly, ideally within one or two in-person meetings.
- Maintain operational excellence by rigorously updating lead and prospect information in real-time and ensuring a seamless handover of new partners to the Partner Growth teams, setting them up for immediate success.
- Gather competitive intelligence and partner feedback from daily field interactions to contribute actionable insights that enhance company strategies.
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and solution-focused demeanor in every negotiation and collaboration, fostering professional relationships that underpin sustained success.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 2 to 4 years of impactful B2B or field sales experience with a demonstrable record of achieving targets in high-volume, transactional contexts such as payment processing or similar fast-paced sales environments.
- Exhibit strong discipline in managing a large sales pipeline and consistently reaching monthly acquisition goals, with proven negotiation skills to convert objections into partnerships.
- Have a background preferably in Merchant Acquisition, FinTech SaaS (especially SMB-focused), or fast-paced FMCG B2B sectors, enabling quick adaptation and immediate contribution.
- Show a results-oriented mindset, taking full ownership of territory and displaying a resilient, proactive 'hunter' attitude to succeed in a competitive sales landscape.
