Role Overview
The Assistant Manager in Trade Promotion Management (TPM) oversees the complete execution, governance, and optimization of pricing and promotional trade activities. This role guarantees accurate pricing for promotions, handles contract management, ensures trade compliance, and delivers superior service by fostering collaboration across customers and internal teams. It is pivotal for seamless trade operations, maintaining data accuracy, and continuously enhancing TPM procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement pricing activities throughout the TPM process ensuring precision, punctuality, and compliance with standards.
- Establish, evaluate, and sustain promotional prices, trade discounts, rebates, and customer-specific agreements.
- Check pricing details linked to promotional campaigns, contracts, and claims for accuracy.
- Analyze pricing inconsistencies, determine root causes, and help in resolving these promptly.
- Enforce approved pricing methods, trade terms, and governance requirements.
- Prepare, examine, and forward trade promotion contracts for quality control checks.
- Confirm that contracts correctly correspond to authorized campaign details, pricing, and trade conditions.
- Oversee promotional schedules and guarantee updates are reliably mirrored across systems such as TPM tools, Sales Planner, customer portals, and SAP/ERP platforms.
- Assist in validations related to claims and trade expenditure checks.
Qualification
A Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or a similar qualification is required.
