About the Role
Skilzon seeks a motivated Academic Counselor specializing in sales to assist students and professionals in selecting appropriate IT and professional certification courses. This full-time position starts with on-site training at Malappuram, Kerala, transitioning to work-from-home based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to students and working professionals about Skilzon's IT and certification programs.
- Convert incoming and outgoing leads into confirmed admissions via calls, WhatsApp, emails, and virtual meetings.
- Analyze student career aspirations and suggest suitable educational pathways.
- Meet monthly targets for admissions and related revenue.
- Perform consistent follow-ups until students enroll.
- Maintain detailed and accurate lead records within CRM systems and submit daily sales reports.
- Collaborate effectively with academic and operations teams to ensure smooth admission processes.
- Professionally address student questions and objections.
- Stay informed about available courses, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- At least one year of experience in academic counseling, EdTech sales, education sales, or business development.
- Experience selling IT or technology-related courses is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Malayalam.
- Strong sales aptitude, negotiation capabilities, and closing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a target-oriented environment.
- Proficient presentation and counseling skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and online communication platforms.
- Self-driven, disciplined, and focused on results.
- Exceptional follow-up and relationship management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven success in achieving sales targets.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as LeadSquared or Zoho CRM is advantageous.
