Role Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist position is a part-time remote role focused on daily financial operations. Responsibilities include accurately processing and reviewing vendor invoices, maintaining precise payment records, and managing expense reports following company guidelines. The specialist will also prepare and post accounting journal entries, aid in account reconciliations, and provide support during month-end closing tasks as required. This position demands vigilance in identifying and addressing discrepancies, effective communication with internal teams and vendors, and compliance with established accounting policies. Success requires attention to detail, prompt task completion, and teamwork within a virtual setting.
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- Experience handling expense reports and vendor invoice management with precision and organization.
- Ability to prepare and post accounting journal entries and support reconciliation processes.
- Analytical aptitude for spotting discrepancies, interpreting financial information, and contributing to process enhancement.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP platforms; proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard office applications.
