Role Summary
The Senior Manager - Workforce Management will be responsible for both short-term and long-term capacity planning aligned with forecasted demands and business strategies. The role involves continuous monitoring of workforce inflow, outflow, and workload to maintain optimal utilization. This position requires detailed capacity gap analysis to guide recruitment, redeployment, scheduling, or productivity enhancement measures. Collaboration with Operations, HR, and Recruitment teams is pivotal to synchronize workforce planning with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain workforce capacity plans integrating forecast and business needs.
- Analyze staffing levels against approved targets to identify surpluses or shortages.
- Conduct capacity gap assessments and recommend necessary workforce adjustments.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of workforce strategies.
- Create and deliver dashboards, detailed reports, and MIS to provide decision-makers with actionable insights on capacity and productivity.
- Use historical data and forecasting models for predicting future resource demands.
- Support budget planning through accurate headcount and capacity projections.
- Drive continuous improvement in workforce planning processes and forecasting accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of Workforce Management principles including capacity planning and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of Pivot Tables and Power Query for data analysis.
- Experience in SQL for data extraction and analytical purposes.
- Familiarity with Power BI or equivalent business intelligence/reporting tools for dashboard creation.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving aptitude, and numerical competence.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholder expectations.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks effectively within a fast-paced, data-centric environment.
