Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic New Zealand Country Manager to lead marketing operations for a prominent online gambling operator. This role requires strategic leadership in brand development and acquisition marketing within the New Zealand market.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute strategic plans focused on brand building and customer acquisition marketing across New Zealand.
- Oversee and develop customer acquisition channels including traditional media such as TV and radio, sponsorships, print advertising, out of home campaigns, and public relations.
- Manage digital and performance marketing channels in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.
- Build and sustain partnerships with local third-party vendors including media agencies, marketing firms, creative and production companies; responsible for agency selection and negotiating commercial terms.
- Direct the annual marketing budget and plans, ensuring achievement of key targets.
- Serve as the brand ambassador locally, adapting global brand messaging and voice while creating tailored local marketing content and campaigns.
- Conduct comprehensive pre- and post-campaign analyses to measure ROI, CPA, and optimize future marketing efforts.
- Ensure full compliance with all gambling regulations across all marketing communications.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years in a senior marketing role within high transaction volume industries, either agency or client side.
- At least 3 years of experience in B2C online gaming marketing specific to the New Zealand market.
- Demonstrated success in launching new brands and rapidly growing business presence in New Zealand.
- Strong understanding of New Zealand’s advertising ecosystem and established relationships with media agencies and owners.
- Hands-on leadership managing substantial above-the-line marketing budgets, with expertise in campaign planning, execution, forecasting, monitoring, and performance reporting.
- Experience managing teams including recruitment, training, and development of marketing personnel.
