Job description
Position Overview
The Flight Training Operations Specialist/Manager will oversee the daily operational and administrative functions associated with flight crew training courses at the Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC). This role ensures superior training quality and customer satisfaction throughout the training lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for both internal teams and external customers and trainees throughout their training period at AATC.
- Verify that trainees meet all necessary flight experience and prerequisite criteria before course registration.
- Confirm all regulatory approvals are secured prior to the start of training sessions.
- Compile grade sheets, course documentation, and other essential training materials for departmental use.
- Register trainees using company-approved tools and procedures.
- Conduct orientation briefings to welcome trainees at the beginning of their courses.
- Track the progress of trainees enrolled in remote learning programs.
- Provide ongoing updates to customers regarding trainees' progress during training.
- Coordinate with Training department and instructors to ensure training records are accurately completed both during and after course completion.
- Work collaboratively with departments such as Planning, Maintenance, Quality, Customer Experience, and Commercial Sales to manage operational issues arising during training execution.
- Handle training schedule disruptions or unexpected changes by consulting with relevant internal teams and customers.
- Prepare certification documents, licensing paperwork, and organize training records in line with company standards once training concludes.
- Manage test notifications and submit flight crew licensing paperwork to aviation authorities on behalf of the Training department or customers.
- Archive trainee records in compliance with company procedures.
Additional Duties
- Support and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving training operations under guidance from the Training Operations Director.
- Collaborate with various teams to enhance customer experience, including celebrating trainee milestones and organizing welcome ceremonies for new airline clients.
- Assist with other operational tasks as assigned by the Training Operations Director.
Requirements
- Diploma in aviation-related disciplines such as aerospace or aeronautics, accompanied by 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent organizational abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- A flexible team player who thrives in fast-paced environments.
- Capacity to work effectively within multicultural and multinational settings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace tools.
- Knowledge of flight crew licensing regulations from agencies like CAAS and EASA is advantageous.
