You will partner with Identiflight Application Engineers to keep track of the performance and overall health of avian study sites across the network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review avian imagery from international sites and assign the correct bird classifications.
  • Carry out quality assurance by examining “birds in buckets” and fixing classification errors.
  • Support biodiversity projects by helping with documentation, training resources, and upkeep of the Master Species List.
  • Monitor the status of study-site systems, and record updates, outages, and other changes promptly.
  • Use Microsoft Windows-based tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint in day-to-day work.
  • Learn and work with proprietary tools used for data collection and related tasks.

Experience and Education

The role prefers candidates with at least 1 year of experience in imagery classification. An associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and 4 years of relevant experience is acceptable. A bachelor’s degree in Biology, Zoology, Wildlife Biology, Ecology, or a similar scientific discipline is preferred.

Strong learning ability, analytical thinking, troubleshooting skills, a collaborative attitude, and clear verbal and written communication are important. Interest in wind energy and wildlife conservation is considered an advantage.
