Role Overview
We are looking to hire a proactive full-cycle Account Executive responsible for managing the entire sales journey—ranging from cold outreach and partner activations to discovery, demonstrations, and closing deals. This entry-level opportunity reports directly to a cofounder and offers uncapped earning potential and growth into sales leadership for motivated candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls aimed at securing new clients
- Generate leads through cold calling, emails, LinkedIn, and cultivating referral partnerships
- Perform effective discovery processes to quickly identify client challenges and close deals decisively
- Promptly handle inbound leads and convert them to sales
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners to facilitate warm introductions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline data in HubSpot daily
- Collaborate with company founders to refine messaging, address objections, and enhance sales procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in outbound B2B SaaS sales
- Proven ability to consistently close new business deals
- Comfortable performing high-volume cold calls as a central work activity
- Experience selling to small and medium-sized business owner/operators
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate value
- Ability to operate independently and make decisions amid ambiguity
- Willingness to work US business hours
Preferred Attributes
- Background in home improvement, home services, lead generation, or marketing technology
- Previous experience as an early sales hire in a startup environment
- Established network within the home improvement industry
- Technical skills using Claude, CRM platforms, and sales tools
Performance Expectations at 90 Days
- Consistent new business closures without supervision
- Managing the full sales cycle independently
- Ability to verbally communicate Opta’s return on investment in contractor language and address all major objections without relying on scripts
- Maintained a clean and reliable sales pipeline trusted by leadership
- Contributed improvements to team sales playbooks, including scripts, sequences, and qualification methods
Compensation and Benefits
- On-target earnings between $140,000 and $200,000 annually, with uncapped commissions and performance bonuses
