About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Trade Sales Assistant to become a key member of our Queenstown Trade Centre team. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively trade environment, focusing on providing outstanding customer service while supporting sales, merchandising, and stock management.
Working Hours
The role requires working 42.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, plus every alternate Saturday from 9:00am to 12:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for customers entering the Trade Centre.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and offer appropriate solutions from a broad product range.
- Deliver superior customer service to enhance sales and foster customer loyalty.
- Prioritize customer needs in all interactions ensuring satisfaction.
- Recognize and act on opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products or services.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal support teams to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly.
- Support store presentation efforts, including merchandising standards and product assortment.
- Maintain inventory by monitoring stock levels and facilitating proper stock rotation.
- Handle receiving, packaging, and dispatching of merchandise.
- Assist with inventory accuracy within the Trade Centre's operations.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in retail, sales, or trade environments.
- Goal-oriented with a strong drive to exceed sales targets and deliver results.
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to cultivate and sustain long-term customer relationships.

- Proficient in using point-of-sale technology and Microsoft Office suite.
